May Mayor's Award - Jose Aranda, LIbrary Services
posted on 05/20/2016.
Jose Aranda has worked for the City and the Huntington Beach Public Library for more than 35 years.

Jose started his career with the Library processing materials for the new Central Library in 1974.  He moved up quickly, and has worked in just about every section of the library, working with the public and with the collection.  Over the past few years, Jose has been helping the Library with building projects and maintenance support.  He has played a key role in transforming spaces at the Central and Main Street libraries, helping us add new features and systems, such as our new Automated Book return system.  He works closely with Library Administration and Public Works to make sure that the building is in good shape.

Jose is currently helping the Library renovate the interior of the Historic Main Street Library.  His positive attitude, extensive knowledge of the library and library buildings and his work ethic make a real difference at the Library every day.

Congratulations, Jose!
