An entitlement plan amendment was approved November 2014 to reduce the guestroom count from 156 to 152 and eliminate the health spa. These areas are replaced with meeting rooms, circulation, storage, and enlarged kitchen and lounge area. The addition of a 2,860 sq. ft. ocean front lounge on the 9th level consists of covered patio, trellis and open to the sky areas surrounded by an 8 ft. high glass wall. The lounge functions similarly to existing multi-function event areas that may include dancing, live entertainment, and sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages. The modifications result in a reduction of overall building area from 213,999 sq. ft. to 210,772 sq. ft.
